    Special features :
This graphic calculator offers a sensitive screen and a stylus.

Sharp never actually reached Casio's popularity on the calculators market. The EL9600C was maybe an attempt to catch up on the innovation side and seduce users with a new, modern user interface model.
Talking about the user interface, i wouldn't say the sensitive screen brings a real comfort of use to the EL-9600C. Where the user could expect a pixel-sharp stylus detection, the screen is actually divided into small sensitive areas the of a character.
This excludes any other use of the stylus than pointing an option menu or selecting a rough section on a graphic display, and, as far as i've understood, that's pretty much what can be done.
As it's also clear that the "area sensitive" sensitive layer was chosen for low-cost reasons, one can imagine that only the marketting side remains from the original "sensitive screen" idea.
