The PB-700 features the first 4 lines display in the world of BASIC pocket computers.
Special features :
- 4 lines display
- Solid state, strong appeal!
- wide range of peripherals
- Brought lots of people to computers!!
Weak points :
- No BASIC instruction for direct memory access
- 10 programs limitations. Enough in most cases, but not worth a virtual disk!

This is definitely the one that got me into collecting! It was a child dream for a long time before i got my first pocket computer (the PB-1000), then it remained a reference.
The machine is not that fun, actually, and lots of modern stuff are missing on this machine (a virtual disk memory mostly) but the look of it is still very attractive, and the feeling is cool when switching the machine on and getting the "ready" prompt. A taste of the good ol'days...
Part of its appeal also came from it's large range of peripheral, among which the coolest was an integrated printer+microtape cradle.
