In 1989 Poqet Computer Corporation released a DOS Compatible pocket computer by the name of Poqet PC. The machine received a warm welcome from the press, but (maybe due to a high pricetag) failed to meet enough success to survive. Japanese computer and electronics manufacturer Fujitsu soon bought the company and the Poqet PC rights and attempted to make the PoqetPC architecture live through new products.
The PoqetPad plus is certainly one of the earliest devices which deserves the name "tablet PC"!
Using the original PoqetPC architecture, it gets rid of the keyboard, gets a touch-screen and a stylus, all of this taking advantage of the DOS compatible environment.
