    Special features :
    - 116 built-in formulas and programs in ROM

    Weak points :
    - Scientific-oriented, and thus, has no graphic screen

Related machines in my collection :
A Casio calculator with the library feature :
    Casio Fx-1000f
    BASIC computers :
    Casio PB-100
    Casio FX-750P
    Casio PB-700
    Casio PB-1000
    Canon X-07
    Preprogrammed BASIC computer :
    Sharp PCE-500

Apart from the "Scientific library", this is not a very exciting device.
Within Casio range, it stands as the only 2 lines display device in the FX Basic computers family.
Although the machine is approximately contemporary to the PB-1000, no virtual disk here, and the small non graphic display is a limitation as for non-scientific uses. I've added the machine to my collection, though, because i needed a machine that could perform hexadecimal conversions, and as a collector, i couldn't buy just the first calculator there!
I still keep a special place for this one because of it's "116 formula library", that Casio next implemented within the FX-1000C calculator. In my opinion, this feature was the FX-850 key to success, since students could get the machine with all the necessary software for the exams, eliminating the pain of learning nor programming anything!
