My Robots Models collection
|
I've started my robots collection in the early 90's. At that time, Macross/Robotech was still somehow alive in Japan (partly due to the release of OVA sequels to Macross), and the Labors met ahuge success.
I now own over 40 models, and i've extended my interests to robot toys as well (see my toys page)
Today, i've "stopped" collecting, for several reasons : partly because i've gathered enough interesting models, partly because it's now hard to find the models i'd like to get; partly because i'm running out of storage space, and partly because i do not have much time building the models anymore. The latter reaons explains why i also own about 10 unbuilt models, that i'm not actually planning to build within the next years!
I'll certainly add scans for those models soon...
>> Robotech models
A "gerwalk" robotech mecha was my first ever model. Today, i have gathered models from the two sides : human forces, and alien forces (Zentradii). Check my Robotech models out here!
>> Votoms models
Armored Troopers Votoms are very interesting mechas. I own 2 built votoms models, and one unbuilt. Pictures from the 2 models i've already built are available here!
>> Patlabor models
Patlabor is one of the last Labor shows that met international success. It's plot is simple, yet innovative in the giant robots world : at the end of the 20th century, giant robots known as "Labors" are part of everyday life as construction machines, entertainment machines... To prevent "labor crimes" from arising, a special police departement equiped with law-enforcement Labors is created. Patlabor Mechas are very well designed and often really beautiful (like the robot on the right). pictures here!
>> Miscellaneous models
In this page, i've gathered a few models from various origins. Details here!
